Community Garden and Peace Garden
Adjacent to the Dear Neighbor Ministries offices is our Peace Garden which is open to the public and provides a pocket view of nature and a peaceful environment to rest and relax.
Since 1997, the Community Garden has provided in-ground plots and raised beds for adults and youth who want to grow their own food. For a small fee to help cover the cost of water and the use of garden tools, anyone in the community may reserve a plot for the summer growing season.
What makes this garden so special are the people. You will see Japanese, Vietnamese, and Indian gardening techniques, as well as the traditional mid-western vegetable plantings.
